MULTIPLY: Sunday School Leaders and Groups, Part 2

Thursday 24th October, 2013

Two key strategies for church revitalization and growth are leader and group multiplication. I want to help you and your churches MULTIPLY. To do so, I am offering MULTIPLY events all over Kentucky. What do they address and involve?

Here are some ways new leaders and groups can help your churches:

  • more leaders are needed in order to reach, disciple, and care for more people
  • new classes usually grow to 20 in enrollment and 10 in attendance in 12-18 months
  • Ed Stetzer reports that usually 3 lost people are involved in new classes
  • more than half of the lost people in classes are getting saved across Kentucky
  • people involved in Sunday School are more than 5 times more likely to still be involved in church 5 years later
  • new classes increase mission and ministry as well as giving to the church, association, and Cooperative Program
CONTENT:  That is why I am putting together a training tour called MULTIPLY for pastors, Sunday School directors, teachers, and key leaders. Here is what MULTIPLY will address:
  • a strategy for addressing the leadership vacuum in many churches
  • actions for enlisting a key leadership team in adult classes and groups
  • steps for launching new classes and groups successfully
DETAILS:  MULTIPLY events will combine training and Sunday School team planning. Here are the details:
  • January - May; Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday; 6:30-9:00 PM local time
  • cost is $5 per person or $25 maximum per church (for books and materials)
  • designed for church teams of pastors, Sunday School directors, teachers, and key leaders
  • one space large enough to accommodate expected crowd sitting at tables is all that is needed (church or associational office)
Do you have questions about MULTIPLY? Email or call me. Together we can see disciples, leaders, classes, and groups MULTIPLY as we carry out the Great Commission!
